STREAM Activities for All Students

Faith provides comprehensive STREAM (Science, Technology, Robotics, Engineering, Arts, and Math) curriculum that allows students to learn vital skills such as problem solving, critical thinking, collaboration, and innovation along with essential technology skill sets.

This academic experience helps students get the most out of their Faith education and prepares them for the future. All classrooms throughout the campus have fixed LCD projectors and display screens so that teachers may conduct lessons from their computer, laptop, or tablet. Teachers also have digital document cameras which can be used to magnify and broadcast small-scale activities such as science lab experiments to the entire class.

A comprehensive technology program begins in kindergarten and progresses until eighth grade. Technology skills mastered by our students include keyboarding, Word, Excel, and Power Point programs. Technology skills are integrated into classroom projects for interactive presentation and assignments as well. All students in grades three through eighth have school-administered flcse.org Gmail addresses and are taught to responsibly and safely use email as a tool with which they may communicate with teachers and peers.

Smart Boards

Faith Lutheran School strives to prepare today's students for the future by incorporating cutting edge technology into all aspects of student learning. Technology plays an important role throughout the school for students and teachers.

FLS is committed to developing 21st century readiness in every student and makes yearly investments in technology. Our classrooms have interactive whiteboards, LCD projectors, and student computers

Mobile Labs

Faith has four mobile labs. One equipped with twenty-four Apple laptop computers for online writing work, as well as one iPad mobile lab and two Chrome book labs.  In the elementary grades the iPads supplement the curriculum. In fifth grade students use iPads as their science textbook with "Discovery Techbooks."

Internet Access

The entirety of our campus is wireless and supports two separate networks – one publicly accessible for parents and visitors, and one for faculty and students. Strict network security measures and active content filters are in use on all machines on campus to ensure that inappropriate content does not interfere with the academic use of technology.

School Library

Students in kindergarten through eighth grade have access to our school library. Older students also have access in the library to our online card catalog in order to effectively search the library's collection. Students may use library computers to search for book titles and conduct online research for classes.
